INTRODUCTION

Vagante is an action – packed roguelike platformer set in a dark fantasy world filled with demons, crooks featuring permanent death, procedurally generated levels that you can play co-op online, locally, or single player.

Choose the class, skin, background that best suits your playstyle.
Delve deep into procedurally generated dungeons.
Unlock permanent buffs to aid runs.
Discover enchanted items to make you stronger but beware as some items can be cursed.

PROS

Enemy variety is impressive all have own look and are unique all have own attacks.

Characters that play as all have own starting equipment and all the characters are unique in look and all have own feel to them.

Weapons are all different all have own stats and all had own feel them daggers super fast where sword for knight slow but you can use any which was very nice as not locked into certain weapon types.

Mini bosses are cool and unique and super aggressive as will chase you once you attack them or they see you and all are challenging.

Procedurally generated levels help keep runs fresh.

Backgrounds you unlock all offer different starting stats that can change runs.

Challenging game for those that want a hard no hand holding game that is challenging at all times.

CONS

No real story made me feel not connected with the world or with any characters.

No hand holding and game is very old school challenging may annoy some people.

When you die your save file is deleted meaning you have to restart from first area everytime which is frustrating as you die alot.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 7.5/10

Overall is challenging as doesn’t hold your hands and you will die alot. But is fun with cool enemies, bosses, weapons and offers alot of gameplay for those who want a challenging old school difficulty.
