INTRODUCTION

Curse Of The Sea Rats is a “ratoidvania” adventure that is lovingly crafted hand drawn adventures playing as one of four prisoners of the British Empire on your mission to stop Flora Burn who turned you into a rat.

4 Playable characters play alone or with 3 friends in local co-op and all characters are unique with own feel.

Enhance and upgrade and improve your characters unique abilities and unlock new skills boosting offence and defence or learning powerful magic.

PROS

Story is interesting from start to finish.

Art style is cool and all hand drawn and super detailed style.

Enemies all have own look and all have own moves and own attacks to learn to parry or avoid to beat them.

Bosses are cool as all are challenging and all have own look, moves, attacks, own strategies to learn in order to beat them and avoid death.

Skills are cool all have own feel to them and can make own builds for each character to suit your playstyle.

Characters that you play as all have own look and all have own feel to their moves and all have own skills to level up and swap between them at checkpoints to try them out.

Challenging game you die very easy especially during boss fights.

Alot of content for £15.99, has cool skills, enemies, bosses, and is a fun world to explore and pretty as all hand darwn art style is nice.

CONS

Movement is stiff/clunky and you need to move faster or be able to roll through them as all characters feel slower than you would like.

A challenging game that is easy to die can be frustrating especially when fighting bosses you will die a lot till work out attacks and moves.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 8.5/10

Overall has a cool story, art style to world, enemies, bosses all have own look and attacks all have own strategies in order to beat them. However for £15.99, you die very easy especially during boss fights which can be frustrating and your character moves clunky/stiff as you need to be able to dodge or roll faster to avoid attacks as often found myself getting hit alot.
